- Horodetzky, Shemuel Abba
- (1871-1957)Israeli scholar of Hasidism and Jewish mysticism. He was born in Malin. After going as a delegate to the eighth Zionist Congress in 1907, he remained in the West, living from 1908 to 1938 in Switzerland and Germany. In 1938 he settled in Tel Aviv. He published studies of mysticism, Hasidism, and the history of Polish Jewry, as well as biographies of medieval rabbis.
